About Black Women in Architecture (BWA)
Black Women in Architecture is a non-profit dedicated to advancing equity, visibility, and professional excellence for Black women designers and industry leaders. Historically, Black women have represented less than 0.5% of licensed architects in the United States. BWA works tirelessly to break down systemic barriers, champion career advancement, provide intentional mentorship, and amplify the profound impact Black women have in shaping our cities and communities. Whether you are a seasoned practitioner, an emerging professional, a student, or an ally committed to fostering greater inclusion in our industry, this event offers a warm, uplifting space to build community, share experiences, and inspire one another.
